New Project for the Process Automation and Control in the Oil & Gas sector in Central America

Ansotec Soluciones Tecnólogicas has won the contract for a new Process Automation and Control Project in the Oil & Gas Sector in Central America.
The project will be carried out before March 2018 under the responsibility of the Main Contractor Proimtu, the Panamanian subsidiary of Grupo Mara (Seville, Spain).

Grupo Mara and Proimtu, in turn, have acquired in EPC mode the reconditioning of a Fuel Storage Facility in the city of Colón, in Panama.

Ansotec is in charge of the Design, Supply of Equipment, Programming, FAT, SAT Testing and commissioning of the Systems: PCS (Process Control System), ESD (Energy Shutdown System) and FDS (Fire Detection System), for supervision, control and stopping the Distribution and Storage facilities at the Terminal Puma I Energy in Colón (Panama).

Ansotec will develop the project using the PlantPAX Process Control System of the Manufacturer Rockwell Automation for whom Ansotec has been a Rockwell Automation Recognised Integrator since 2017.

The project will use 3 Redundant Systems based on Redundant ContolLogix Controllers for each of the PCS, ESD and FDS respectively, and a redundant SCADA Factory Talk View SE implemented on a virtualization platform by the Manufacturer Vmware.
